About
Aaron Sheer
I'm a Brooklyn-based filmmaker working as a director, producer, and editor. My latest film Curls was an official selection at the Cleveland International Film Festival and St. Louis International Film Festival — both Academy Award®-qualifying — as well as the NY Latino Film Festival.
I produced and directed the award-winning short film Pryor Time, and created Straight to Camera, a first-person comedy series. My short film Teenage Jesus was featured in the 2020 London Lift-Off Film Festival, Film Shortage, and Shorted.
I'm currently in production on Pigeon People, a feature documentary about New York City's pigeon keepers — the loyalty, the obsession, and the thin line between care and control.
Commercially, I've worked with VOX Media, Thrillist, PayPal, Morgan Stanley, Zillow, Restoration Hardware, and BBC Storyworks. At Artists Den Entertainment, I serve as Lead Editor and Production Manager on Live From My Den, a music performance series featured on Variety.
I hold an MFA from Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and a BA from Skidmore College.
